JBFC is an academy founded by former Socceroo and International football player Jacob Burns.

Having had a professional career spanning over 20 years, Jacob gained valuable experience and knowledge in many countries in Europe and from various coaches including 2010 World Cup coach Pim Verbeek, At JBFC we take the knowledge and experience gained and transform it into sessions for our players.

Our emphasis is to improve each player using our philosophy and methods while maintaining the strengths and unique qualities of each individual.

We strive to get the best out of each player and encourage all players to work to the best of their abilities.

Jacob Burns

Jacob burns is a retired professional football player. Burns played his entire career as a defensive midfielder.

Burns played youth football with fantastic youth teams which included St George Budapest and Sydney Olympic FC before breaking through and making his senior debut with Sydney United at 16 years old, he went on to win 2 premierships over 4 seasons with united before moving to Parramatta Power FC.

In a record transfer Burns then moved overseas to English Premier league giants Leeds United in 99/2000 after spending 3 successful seasons in Leeds United history involving top 3 results in the EPL and champions league semi finals. In 2003 Burns transferred to Barnsley FC in the English championship making over 100 app and captaining the side. In 2006 Burns moved to Polish Power house Wisla Krakow FC spending 2 seasons and winning the championship and playing in the UEFA cup , 2008 saw burns move to Romania playing and winning the league and cup in his first season with FC Bucharest.

In 2009/10 after 10 seasons in Europe burns returned home to Australia signing as captain for Perth Glory FC where he lead the team to 4 finals and a 2012 GF wining the prestigious Joe Marsden medal for best player. after 5 successful playing seasons Burns retired and went on to work in various roles from NYL coach, Technical Director and eventually Football /Academy Director over the past 8 Years.

Burns represented Australia at both U/23 Olyroos and senior team Socceroos, Making his full debut at Hamden park Glasgow in a 3-1 win over Scotland Burns went on to make 15 appearances playing in AFC and word cup qualification games.
